DJI has launched a new microphone system called DJI MIC MINI. This new microphone system is compact when it comes to size, but not when it comes to performance and features. Each one of these transmitter is coming at about 10 g, so it’s gonna be the perfect set up for some creators and just like the DJI and Mic to each one of these transmitters is Bluetooth capable, so you’re able to pair via Bluetooth to devices, such as smart phones could also be paired to the DJI Osmo action for the Osmo action 5 pro in the pocket 3 using something that is calling Osmo audio.
When you purchase the full kit. It does come with a charging case which is very similar to that of the DJI MIC 2, except on a smaller scale, you can see a size comparison. We have the DJI MIC 2 and DJI MIC MINI here. You can see. It’s a little bit smaller.
Now the biggest size difference is gonna be when it comes to the transmitter. You can see how much smaller it is when you purchase it. It also comes with a nice caring case that will hold all the components inside. It also comes with an audio cable for connecting to traditional cameras USB cable for charging it comes with 4 different Windscreen, black ones here, and we have some ones and they just click over on the top.Just like that with a windscreen installed, they’re very compact and minimal just like the MIC 2 , we can remove that bottom plate. Install the smart adapter and can be connected to things such as smart phones tablets with USB even into laptops.
It’s extremely easy to use. Basically, you just have to plug it in and it’s gonna work. You don’t have to do any configuring to get good audio. They have a simple *dial on the side of it to adjust the game. If you find, it’s too loud or not loud enough. We go to +6 or +12 dB to increase the volume. We can also go to -6 and -12 appear at the top, we have 2LED labelled one and two that signify when the transmitter are connected to the receiver. Now I just have one transmitter,so we only have one of those LED lit up and on the back there we have a clip mounting on various cameras. Now this microphone system has a lot of high features such as automatic limiting to help work right out of the box. You don’t have to go in and configure that has two levels of active noise cancellation, which is really nice because if you’re filming indoors and you just want a little bit of noise reduction or perhaps you’re filming outdoors and you want a lot more noise reduction. You can set accordingly. Three audio recording mode recording stereo for each transmitter is good to separate track.
It has mono mode for both transmitters or one transmitter will record to a single track or it has the mono plus safety track in that mood, it’s gonna record in mono regular Level to the main track and the safety track on a second track is going to be recorded at -6 dB. Now you’re gonna be able to purchase the DJI MIC MINI as a full kit, but you’re gonna be able to order these transmitters independently. Basically, you’re gonna get a caring case the same as the full caring case just on a smaller scale we’re gonna get a USB charging cable, we’re gonna get the transmitter and we’re gonna get a little charging dock.
This disconnect magnetic USB at the back and that’s how we charge these transmitter up again with it, also gonna get to windscreens one, and we’re gonna get this white one compare two of these little transmitter directly to your OSMO action 5 pro via Bluetooth, which is what they’re calling OSMO audio just tap on the transmitter buttons, put it into pairing Mode. You could see now it says DJI Osmo audio connected, and we have some basic settings that we can adjust for this particular microphone, just like DJI we got an audio meter at the top, so we can keep an eye on the levels and also one on the front. Something else is with the DJI MIC MINI is that we can connect the microphone directly to the DJI memo app, and that’s gonna be useful, especially for those who are purchasing just the transmitter that allows you to go in and adjust some of the basic settings, but without we can also update the firmware with the DJI memo app.
